PsychoGenics Inc is seeking a skilled researcher to perform LCMS (Liquid Chromatograph/Mass Spectrometer) bioanalysis in support of our client partnerships and drug discovery efforts. We are looking for a highly motivated professional who is eager to expand their scientific knowledge base and learn advanced bioanalytical techniques in our growing organization. A basic understanding of chemistry is required, and hands-on experience with in vivo laboratory work is a distinct advantage.  

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality LCMS bioanalysis in support of client projects and drug discovery initiatives.
  • Process diverse sample types (plasma & tissue) using a variety of sample preparation techniques.
  • Methodically track samples from laboratory intake through to completion of analyses, utilizing Microsoft Teams to maintain an organized, transparent workflow.
  • Organize complex datasets using Microsoft Office and communicate results via clear written reports to clients.
  • Maintenance of LCMS systems (mobile phase preparation).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or a related scientific discipline with strong foundational laboratory training and skills.
  • Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in a professional laboratory setting.
  • Highly conscientious with an exacting standard for data accuracy; someone who takes pride in thorough self-editing and precise work.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, with a proven ability to collaborate seamlessly within a team and a proactive desire to learn methodologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) for data management and presentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working within a DMPK laboratory setting.
  • Hands-on experience operating LCMS systems.
  • Proficiency in Prism for data visualization and preparation of reports, presentations and updates to staff and clients.
  • Hands-on laboratory skills (pipetting, sample handling, excellent organizational skills).
