As a Mechanized Welding Operator Level 2Â at Honeywell, you will play a vital role in our welding operations by efficiently operating mechanized welding equipment. You will report directly to our Welding Supervisor, and you'll work out of our Palmetto, FL location.
In this role, you will work in an ASME pressure vessel shop, specializing in the fabrication of large heat exchangers used in natural gas liquefaction. Your expertise in specific welding processes, including Sub Arc Welding (SAW) and Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), will ensure the production of high-quality welds, contributing to the overall success of our projects.
This position requires training on 1st shift for an initial period.Â
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate and maintain mechanized welding equipment to produce quality welds on various materials using Sub Arc Welding (SAW) and Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW).
- Perform fitting, cutting, and grinding operations as required.
- Conduct inspections and assessments of welds to ensure they meet quality standards, adjusting as necessary.
- Train and mentor junior welders on welding techniques and best practices.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to optimize welding operations and workflows.

YOU MUST HAVE
- 3 years of relevant experience in mechanized welding processes, including Sub Arc Welding (SAW) and Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW).
- 3 years of experience with semi-automatic and manual welding processes such as Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), GMAW on aluminum materials
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting welding blueprints and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of AWS welding symbols.
- Capability to work at heights and in confined spaces, and lift up to 30 lbs.
