Essential Functions:āÆĀ
Prepares for painting by masking, stripping, washingĀ aircraftĀ sections and components.Ā
Blends and mixes paints, inks, and coatings to proper spraying consistency.Ā
Must be able to performĀ detailedĀ touch-ups.Ā
Coordinates processes for painting production parts.Ā
Required ability to be certifiedĀ asĀ a half &Ā full-faceĀ respirator.āÆĀ

Basic Qualifications:Ā
AircraftĀ PainterĀ Entry Level
High School diploma or GEDĀ
Minimum ofĀ 3 monthsĀ ofĀ painting/surface prep experienceĀ in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing and/or maintenance environment OR completion of Low Observables Pathway/Certification Program at the College of the Canyons. Minimum of 3.0 or higher GPA upon completionĀ
This position requires the ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include bending, stooping, kneeling, standing, walking, squatting, crawling, twisting, carrying tools, lifting toĀ 35Ā poundsĀ and working with arms overheadĀ
Must be able to accessĀ small, confinedĀ spaces and work in an enclosed environmentĀ
Ability to pass medical/respiratory evaluation to obtain andĀ maintainĀ necessary respirator clearance and compliance with all respirators fitting requirementsĀ
Must be able to pass a New Hire Physical prior to startĀ
The ability to work 1st ā5 AM ā 3:30 PMā or 2nd shift ā4:12 PM ā 2:42 AMā and any work scheduleĀ
Ability to obtain andĀ maintainĀ a DOD Secret orĀ Top-SecretĀ Clearance as well as Program Special access within a reasonableĀ period, asĀ determinedĀ by the company to meet its business needs.Ā US citizenshipĀ requiredĀ for clearance.Ā
The ability toĀ utilizeĀ a computer for basic functions (including navigating through windows operatingĀ systems, getting online, executing online training modules and ability to be trainedĀ using onĀ the job software)Ā
Must successfully complete and pass the āASTAR New Hire Training / Complianceā within a reasonableĀ period, as defined by the company to meet its business need
