Job Description:
The successful candidate will support the Microelectronics Division (MED) to identify, pursue and create new business opportunities with Commercial entities and U.S. Government partners for Quantum technology by entering strategic teaming agreements with high end technology firms. The BD lead will be technically proficient in cutting edge quantum technology and have business savvy, including experience with top software, microelectronic and commercial production technology firms. The BD lead will work with business area leads, program managers, capture managers and other internal functional organizations to identify customers and business models to sell MED capabilities for long term profitable partnerships.  The BD lead must prioritize business opportunities, support product demonstrations, proposal estimates and product quotes, and methodically track, report, and maintain customer relationships.
Essential Functions:
As the Principal Business Development responsible for developing and executing a go-to-market plan for quantum technology, the successful candidate will:Â Â
·     Serve as the subject matter expert on Quantum technology, commercial market dynamics, and the scientific community
·     Build trusted relationships with leadership in major technology companies and investors
·     Coordinate the development of effective partnerships with both external and internal organizations to improve winning probability and enable business growth.
·     Create strategies to incorporate L3Harris technology into partner company tech roadmaps
·     Travel as required to attend L3Harris, customer, partner meetings and industry events.
·     Estimate and manage budgets to fund the efforts that protect existing business and enable the pursuit of new opportunities.
·     Establish close working relationships with division business area leadership.
Effectively communicate status of activities above to MED and I&C business development leadership.

Qualifications:
·      Bachelor’s Degree in a technical, preferably quantum-related field and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
·      Experience working at or with one or more of the major technology companies (Google, NVIDIA, Intel, Microsoft, etc.) with a robust network with the companies.
·      Experience developing, recommending, or configuring technical solutions that support customer objectives and business goals
·      Demonstrated experience supporting the sales process through technical presentations, product demonstrations, and customer solution discussions.

·     Ability to think outside of the box to develop winning strategies and operate with a sense of urgency
·     Demonstrated strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
·     Recognized in the Quantum or emerging technology industry as an expert
·     Leadership experience a top commercial technology firm
·     Trusted relationships with influential leaders or employees at top commercial technology firms
·     Industry experience
·     Deep understanding of the quantum compute market with existing market and customer connections.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington State, DC and Virginia (Greater D.C. area), Denver, or NYC areas is $146K-$271K.  The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, Vermont and Virginia (outside of Greater D.C. area) is $126K-$235K. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
