Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Inventory Management Support professional in Palm Bay, FL. This role is responsible for executing physical or administrative tasks supporting receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong proficiency in inventory processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while supporting operational needs. 

 

Essential Functions:

  • Safely lift and handle heavy items as required; operate material handling equipment (such as pallet jacks and forklifts) upon completion of internal certification.
  • Work under limited supervision while applying sound judgment to moderately complex assignments.
  • Serve as a resource to peers by sharing expertise and assisting with problem-solving in routine inventory-related situations.
  • Coordinate material expedites and manually receives materials per outlined procedures.
  • Cross functional support with other departments daily.
  • Uses MRP system for data entry and research.
  • Pick and deliver parts via company vehicle on and off campus, valid driver’s license necessary.
  • Ability to make sound decisions with or without supervisor direction.
  • Maintain proper labeling, organization, and storage of materials to ensure traceability and compliance.
  • Communicate material status, shortages, and delivery issues to supervisors and stakeholders.
  • Assist in resolving inventory discrepancies and process improvement efforts.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; or 1-year post-secondary/associate degree with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Ability to obtain internal certification for use of material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Demonstrates knowledge of material handling procedures, inventory control practices, and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) requirements.
  • Ability to lift heavy items and may operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, etc. upon receipt of internal certification.
  • Fully proficient job knowledge and skills relevant to inventory management and material handling
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
  • Continuous improvement and lean processes.
  • Ability to take on additional tasks that may be out of scope
