Job DetailsJob Location: Trenton - ST LOUIS, MO 63132Job Category: Purchasing - ProcurementJOB OVERVIEW                                                                                                         Responsible for direct sourcing and procurement of raw materials, components, supplies and services within a manufacturing environment.  While working closely with internal departments including production planning, finance and logistics to ensure product sourcing, on-time deliveries and resolution of variances and supplier issues. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic sourcing, purchasing and maintaining of raw materials and stock items Overseeing special projects including government contracts as assigned Collaborate with internal departments including production, finance and logistics to ensure on-time delivery and project deadlines Support the development of long-term relationships with company approved vendors Participate in supplier negotiations and contract review Analyze supplier lead times, minimum order quantities and make recommendations for cost efficiencies Generate purchasing orders and update supplier pricing Participate in supplier scorecard evaluations, feedback and corrective action conversations Other duties as assigned Qualifications  PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
