Responsibilities:
- Assist the engineering team with day-to-day activities, including part specification creation and revisions, SolidWorks drawing updates, and bill of materials (BOM) changes.
- Learn company and industry engineering practices, design principles, and product knowledge to support general engineering tasks.
- Utilize design software and proprietary techniques to analyze designs and gain an understanding of transformer construction.
- Collaborate with production floor staff and lab personnel to learn testing procedures, quality requirements, and aspects of mass production.
- Analyze new and existing designs to identify cost-saving opportunities and production improvements.
- Prepare engineering packets that include customer drawings, similar unit references, applicable industry standards, and producibility considerations.
- Support mass-update projects for older product series, including updates to drawings, kit sheets, BOMs, and process sheets.
- Complete work under the guidance and review of senior engineers.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a 2- or 4-year college program in engineering, physics, or a related field.
- 0–4 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, engineering, physics, or a related field.
- Interest in gaining hands-on engineering and manufacturing experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, production, and lab personnel.
