At Orlando Regional Medical Center, the Security Department plays a vital role in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and team members. As part of the only Level One Trauma Center in Central Florida, our security team is trained to respond swiftly and effectively to a variety of situations, supporting a culture of safety, compassion, and vigilance. Qualifications
Education/Training
⢠High school graduate or equivalent. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word for report writing purposes.

Licensure/Certification
⢠Must have a valid Florida driverās license and be insurable under the Orlando Health insurance carrierās requirements and standards. (Security officers, who are unable to maintain this requirement after at least 90 days of employment must sign a āNo Driving Documentā which will be maintained in the officers department file and remain in effect until the approval to drive is given by the insurance carriers as determined during routine driving records checks.)
⢠Must obtain a State of Florida Class āDā Security Officer License through the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services within 120 days of hire which must be renewed biannually before the license expires.
⢠Must obtain Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Certification within 120 days of hire which must be renewed annually before the certification expires.
⢠Must obtain a Basic Security Officer Certification or higher level of certification through the International Association of Hospital Security and Safety within 120 days of hire and maintained at all times during employment.
