About the Role
This is a great opportunity for someone who understands the install side of the mechanical trades and knows how to move projects from the sales handoff all the way through completion. You’ll run fast-moving, quick-turn install projects while supporting a team of project managers within the Special Projects Group.
Most jobs fall in the $15K–$200K range, with some larger projects up to $20MM, and you’ll have several active at any given time. If you like a steady pace, solving problems on the fly, and taking full ownership of installs from planning to closeout, this is a strong fit.
Responsibilities
Taking install projects from hand-off through closeout, handling all setup, coordination, scheduling, and documentation
Building submittals, ordering equipment and materials, and confirming deliveries and lead times
Setting up job budgets, cost codes, labor plans, and tracking financial performance throughout the project
Working closely with field crews to ensure they have drawings, instructions, equipment, and support
Coordinating subcontractors and confirming each phase of work is ready before crews arrive
Reviewing installation drawings, scopes of work, and field conditions to identify issues early
Managing multiple quick-turn install projects at once across office buildings, schools, medical facilities, and more
Handling change orders, conflicts, delays, and other adjustments to keep jobs moving
Performing regular site walks and verifying work quality, progress, and punch items
Communicating with clients, sales, engineers, and internal teams to keep everyone aligned
Supporting, guiding, and helping develop other project managers within the Special Projects Group
