Position Summary

Manager, Imaging Services | ORMC

Join Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC), Central Florida's only Level I Trauma Center, as a Manager, Imaging Services. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing 2-3 imaging departments, ensuring operational excellence, quality patient care, team development, regulatory compliance, and strategic growth across diagnostic imaging services. ORMC is one of the largest acute-care facilities in the region and is recognized for excellence in patient care and clinical outcomes.

  • Proven leadership experience in Diagnostic Imaging
  • Experience managing multiple imaging modalities or departments
  • Strong operational, financial, and staffing management skills

Responsibilities

Education/Training

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

 

Licensure/Certification

  • BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Must maintain one of the following:
  • State of Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist license and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification;
  • State of Florida Nuclear Medicine Technologist license and Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) certification through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB);
  • American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification; or
  • Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) certification.

 

Experience

  • Three (3) years of experience in Nuclear Medicine or an Imaging Services Department to include one (1) year of supervisory experience in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

Position Summary

Manages activities of team members providing imaging services under the direction of the Director, Imaging Services. Supports, plans, develops, organizes, and leads Imaging Services departments, ensuring continual, timely, and accurate services for patients and care teams.

 

Essential Functions

  • Manages the development and implementation of systems, policies, and procedures for effective delivery of imaging services in conjunction with other members of the hospital operations team.
  • Coordinates scheduling and supervision of team members as appropriate to achieve operational goals.
  • Meets regularly with the imaging leadership team to plan, revise, or implement new services, and/or policies and procedures.
  • Meets regularly with team members to share information, provide guidance, and review and resolve issues.
  • Participates in Process Improvement and Quality Management programs, ensuring compliance in assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Ensures compliance with Safety and Infection Control practices and meets legal requirements within areas designated.
  • Interviews prospective team members with other members of team and participates in their selection.
  • Demonstrates leadership skills in both verbal and nonverbal communication behaviors.
  • Manages various human resources functions including hiring, work assignments, development plans, coaching plans, and performance counseling.
  • Plans and assists in the development of new programs, diagnostic services, team building and higher performance levels (Orlando Health Way).
  • Takes responsibility for professional development of oneself and all staff members.
  • Develops and maintains appropriate documentation of budgetary, procedural, performance, and regulatory standards.
  • Effectively and accurately utilizes corporate imaging computer systems.
  • Maintains open communication with hospital, referring, and department physicians to ensure proper imaging operations.
  • Communicates and interacts closely with the Imaging Leaders, Physicians, Radiologists, and/or Cardiologists to ensure optimal patient/staff flow and resolves patient care issues.
  • Adheres to Imaging and Corporate policies, procedures, the mission statement, and Commitment to Excellence standards.
  • Works with site leadership to set standards that meet all regulatory bodies to include Joint Commission, Florida Department of Health, American College of Radiology and Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
  • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures, department guidelines, and education requirements.

 

Other Related Functions

  • Attends and conducts meetings with staff, physicians, and vendors as necessary.
  • Ensures safe clinical practice by adhering to all regulatory requirements and infection prevention and control standards.
