Job DetailsJob Location: Orland, IN 46776Salary Range: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 Salary/yearPosition Summary The Plant Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and performance of the Orland manufacturing facility. This role oversees daily plant operations, production leads, and workforce development initiatives to ensure a safe, productive, and customer-focused operation. The Plant Manager is accountable for achieving safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery goals while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Lead all day-to-day plant operations to ensure safe, efficient, and profitable manufacturing performance. Direct and develop Production Leads while providing overall leadership to production associates and plant personnel. Ensure customer orders are produced and shipped on time while meeting quality and service expectations. Maintain compliance with all company policies, safety requirements, and regulatory standards. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Monitor and improve key performance indicators related to safety, quality, productivity, labor efficiency, and on-time delivery. Manage production planning, manufacturing processes, maintenance activities, logistics, inventory, and distribution operations. Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and processes that reduce costs and maximize production efficiency. Partner with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Human Resources, and other departments to achieve business objectives. Support recruiting, training, coaching, employee development, and succession planning initiatives. Manage plant budgets and control operating costs while identifying opportunities for increased efficiency and profitability. Analyze operational performance and provide reports, recommendations, and updates to the General Manager. Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational excellence, workforce development, and customer satisfaction. QualificationsQualifications & Skills Minimum 5 years of manufacturing leadership experience with increasing levels of responsibility. Experience managing production teams in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of plant operations, production processes, maintenance, quality systems, and supply chain logistics. Proven ability to lead teams, develop employees, and drive accountability. Demonstrated success improving safety, productivity, quality, and delivery performance. Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement effective operational improvements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization. Working knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and operational performance metrics. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications. Experience in metal fabrication, wire forming, welding, or industrial manufacturing preferred. Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
