Role Overview:Ā 

The Sales Agronomist III willĀ be responsible forĀ managing existing and attracting new customers within the sales territory,Ā assistingĀ customers with proper product selection and use based on agronomic needs, andĀ maintainingĀ and developing profitable customer relationships.Ā

  • Manage existing and attract new customers within the sales territoryĀ 

  • AssistĀ customers in selecting and using products based on agronomic needsĀ 

  • Maintain and develop profitable customer relationshipsĀ 

  • IdentifyĀ new key customers, understand their business,Ā determineĀ their needs, and drive the team to achieve sales territory goals and growthĀ 

  • Manage territory budgeting, forecasting, and analysisĀ 

  • Follow credit policies and manage risk for the companyĀ 

  • Lead the annual business plan toĀ optimizeĀ growth and profitability for the territoryĀ 

  • Implement marketing and sales plans; meet sales goals; and network with industry representatives to expand sales opportunitiesĀ 

  • Be the primary customer contactĀ regardingĀ deliveries, forecasting, credit, complaint handling, and custom applicationsĀ 

  • Lead and mentor team members, review the work of others, and provide constructive feedbackĀ

What You Bring to the Role:Ā 

  • 5+ years of experienceĀ 

  • Ability to influence sales management to adoptĀ new ideas, practices, and approachesĀ 

  • Deep working knowledge of local agricultural crops and market practicesĀ 

  • Provide clear direction and motivate othersĀ 

  • Excellent presentation skillsĀ 

  • Proficient in working with MS Office SuiteĀ 

  • Work independently with general oversightĀ 

  • Agronomy/Agribusiness degreeĀ

  • ProficiencyĀ with Microsoft Office applications and digital tools to support sales planning, forecasting, reporting, and customer relationship managementĀ 

  • Ability toĀ leverageĀ data, analytics, and reporting tools to drive territory performance,Ā identifyĀ growth opportunities, and support data-driven decision makingĀ 

  • Comfortable adopting emerging technologies such as Microsoft Copilot, AI-powered productivity tools, and digital collaboration platforms to improve efficiency and customer engagementĀ

Compensation and Benefits:Ā 

  • In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $59,200 - $78,940. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience.Ā Ā Ā 

  • This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, and retirement plan participation, including an employer contribution of up to 7% into your 401(k).
