Job Description: Your Piece of the Puzzle

 

NFM is looking for a Loss Prevention Supervisor to supervise and coordinate security staff and functions to ensure a safe and secure environment. Our world class operation offers multiple opportunities for you to put your skills to work.

   

Job Duties: A Day in the Life

  • Manage: Coach, train, hire and support staff while providing regular feedback and recognition. Hold staff accountable for fulfilling their key responsibilities and goals satisfactorily
  • Coach: Conduct performance reviews, weekly department meetings, monthly one-on-ones and create staff schedules to meet customer needs
  • Plan: Set performance objectives to develop staff’s skills, cross train staff to ensure coverage for major functions,develop agendas, conduct monthly staff meetings, control expenses/turnover and meet goals
  • Support: Work with customer service staff to detect and prevent fraudulent returns
  • Assist: Detain and prosecute individuals attempting fraudulent returns  
  • Collaborate: Assist corporate investigators as necessary in all other fraud investigations

Qualifications: Can You Check These Boxes?

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred
  • 2 years supervisory or management experience (preferably in retail loss prevention environment) required
  • 3-5 years experience in loss prevention-related functions including investigations, shoplifter apprehension, camera surveillance, access control, alarms, security officers, and security administration - required
  • Basic understanding of federal laws, state statutes, and local ordinances pertaining to theft, fraud, assault, and illegal substances.
  • Satisfactorily complete NFM Response to Resistance and First Responder training courses training course within ninety (90) days of employment
  • Certification in OC (Oleoresin Capsicum) deployment within one (1) year of employment and maintain certification standards.

Exception:

TX – Not required

  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required
  • Computer knowledge to include Microsoft Office Applications required
  • Ability to work night, weekend and/or early morning hours based on business needs
  • Pre-employment screening includes, but isn’t limited to, drug screen and criminal background check
