Physician - Nocturnist

The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Medicine, Olathe Campus, is seeking a full-time Nocturnist who will join the team and support the departmental mission of delivering the highest quality of care, as well as satisfying teaching, research, and academic responsibilities at the region's quaternary referral center. 

The position offers a dynamic opportunity to deliver comprehensive nocturnal patient care across inpatient services. The hospital medicine service is a shift scheduling model to include day, swing and nocturnist coverage providing continuous inpatient coverage.  Additionally, there is a strong emphasis on scholarly pursuits, including collaborative education and research activities with students and fellows. For those inclined, independent research initiatives are encouraged.  

The role also includes participation in call duties, aligning with established practices for hospitalist services, thereby contributing to cohesive and responsive patient care delivery. As an academic medical center and health system, we offer full sub-specialty support. 

Required Qualifications:   

  • MD/DO or equivalent 

  • Board certified/board eligible in Internal Medicine 

  • Eligible for licensure in Kansas and Missouri
