Job Summary: The Turnaround Master Scheduler is responsible for providing comprehensive schedule management services to support effective execution before and during Turnarounds. Creates, optimizes, records and reports on Turnaround execution schedules. The Turnaround Master Scheduler provides accurate and realistic assessment of Turnaround activities, priority, resource loading, and manpower. The Turnaround Master Scheduler identifies potential schedule risks, risk mitigation and improvement opportunities through his/her analysis of the Turnaround schedule. Ensures schedule accuracy and usability. Provides integration with key project and operations tasks that affect Turnaround timing. Provide timely updates that meet the Turnaround Managers’ daily schedule needs during the execution phase. The Turnaround Master Scheduler will work closely with the Turnaround Manager, Site Turnaround Coordinator, Contractor Leads, Operations, and Capital Projects teams. This role will require routine travel up to 50% including full time presence at sites during the scheduled ammonia turnaround periods. Primary Responsibilities Include: Create, optimizes, records and reports on Turnaround execution schedules. The Turnaround Scheduler provides accurate and realistic assessment of Turnaround activities priority, resource loading, manpower. The Turnaround Scheduler identifies potential schedule risks, risk mitigation and improvement opportunities through his/her analysis of the Turnaround schedule, as well as project construction schedules provided by project contractors which are integrated into a Master turnaround schedule. Ensure schedule accuracy and usability. Provides integration with key project and operations tasks that affect Turnaround (TA) timing. Provide timely updates that meet the TAR Site Lead’s daily schedule needs during the execution phase. Builds the Turnaround schedule in co-ordination with the Turnaround FEL (front end loading) planning activities and milestones such as gate reviews and job walks. Verifies that jobs with multi-craft job steps have been evaluated for parallel versus sequential execution using a CMMS tool by the planner. Gives significant focus to Critical Path jobs. Obtains and integrates project construction schedules into the master Turnaround schedule by incorporating key project tasks that will affect the Turnaround resources. Performs Turnaround staffing density checks or staffing limitation checks to analyze and validate schedule durations and forecast completion dates. Ensures daily scheduled headcount and man-hours align with Labor procurement plan. Work with Project Manager to integrate expense and capital project jobs into the TA schedule. Distributes final schedule to all crafts. Performs schedule updates and analysis during execution and publication of progress reports. Validate manpower loading, contractor availability, and execution sequencing. Chair regular Schedule Review meetings at the cadence established by the LSB Turnaround Standard and provide regular status updates for the site Steering Team. Participate in Executive discussions as required by the Turnaround Director. QualificationsKnowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong understanding of Turnaround Work Processes 5+ years of experience in industrial turnaround scheduling utilizing Primavera P6 Experience with CMMS systems such as JD Edwards (preferred), SAP, Maximo, etc. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively partner with Construction, Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Accounting, and project leadership.
