Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Engineering Technician - Level 2 or Level 3 - to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our MDC2 organization supporting Test and Evaluation.  This position is in Oklahoma City, OK.

This role will support the US Air Force E-3 Sentry, Airborne Warning and Control System, and numerous other Government platforms. Our team members complete engineering, reverse engineering, and logistics solution efforts to solve complex obsolescence problems and ensure warfighter supportability.

      

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze software applications to isolate license key requirements and expiration dates.
  • Serve as team focal point for classified shipping and receiving.
  • Maintain both classified and unclassified inventory database.   
  • Utilizes engineering drawings and technical data to provide technical advice, training, troubleshooting and repairs on E-3 4045 aircraft mission and ground support systems.
  • Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications
  • Collaborates with other teammates and has reach-back to engineering for problem analysis and resolution.
  • Records information on maintenance information systems.
  • Acts as local on-site representative to customer’s organization.
  • Adhere to all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety guidelines and regulations
  • Work and communicate over ambient noise and stand for long periods of time.
  • Work in a variety of work spaces/positions. Work spaces may include but are not limited to small, enclosed spaces, awkward, and 20 foot elevated spaces. Positions may include bending, twisting, kneeling, crawling, ascending/descending ladders, and/or working overhead.

This requisition may be filled at a Engineering Technician - Level 2 or Level 3 based on the relevant experience required for each role.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
  • Experience maintaining software and hardware on networking and information Technology systems.
  • Knowledge in analyzing software applications, configuration files, or documentation to identify license key requirements.
  • Experience with classified shipping and receiving.
  • Experience with tracking inventory in both a classified and unclassified setting, such as SAP and 2AP.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must have an active US Government Secret Clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
  • Must be able to obtain a DoD Information Assurance Level (II) technician. DoD IA Level II certification includes A+, Network+, SSCP, Security+, CySA+, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC or ability to obtain certification following employment.
  • Ability to work on call periodically to support on site needs, which could include nights and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in analyzing software applications, configuration files, or documentation to identify license key requirements.
  • Experience in Air Force aircraft and equipment maintenance and operations.
  • Experience with equipment logistics, technical manuals, overseeing parts ordering system, quality control inspections.
  • Experience with use and interpretation of technical data such as S1000D to diagnose malfunctions and identify systemic performance problems on E-3 4045 aircraft mission computing systems or ground systems.
  • Certified as a DoD Information Assurance Level (II) technician. DoD IA Level II certification includes A+, Network+, SSCP, Security+, CySA+, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC or ability to obtain certification following employment.
  • Prior E2 or E3 software and IT experience
  • Experience using USAF technical data.
  • Solid written and verbal skills to effectively interact with government and military counterparts, other defense contractor organizations, and other cross-functional organizations.

Primary Level Salary Range: $45,800.00 - $76,400.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $54,500.00 - $90,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
