POSITION SUMMARY: The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for managing the Bank's internal and external financial reporting processes, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial information provided to executive leadership, the Board of Directors, regulators, auditors, and other stakeholders. Reporting to the Controller, this role owns the monthly management reporting process and plays a key role in regulatory reporting, examination support, external audits, and financial analysis. The Financial Reporting Manager serves as a subject matter expert on financial reporting requirements and works collaboratively across departments to support sound financial management, regulatory compliance, and strategic decision-making. This position is an individual contributor role with no direct supervisory responsibilities currently.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Owns and manages the monthly financial reporting process for the Board of Directors, Asset Liability Committee (ALCO), Market President meetings, and other management committees, ensuring reports are complete, accurate, and delivered on schedule.
- Analyzes financial results and reporting trends, identify variances, and provides meaningful insights to management regarding financial performance.
- Coordinates and supports regulatory examinations and information requests by preparing schedules, responding to examiner inquiries, and ensuring timely and accurate submission of requested financial data.
- Assists with the preparation, review, and submission of quarterly Call Reports, FR Y-9 filings, and other required regulatory reports.
- Supports the year-end financial statement audit by preparing audit schedules, responding to auditor requests, and serving as a key contact for external auditors.
- Assists with ESOP, 401(k), and other specialized audits, ensuring supporting documentation is complete and accurate.
- In coordination with the Controller, develops, maintains, and enhances financial reporting processes, procedures, and controls to comply with FIDICIA and other regulatory and GAAP requirements.
- Performs reconciliations, analyses, and quality reviews to validate financial data used in internal and external reporting.
- Collaborates with Accounting, Finance, Treasury, Risk Management, and other business units to gather information and resolve reporting-related issues.
- Remains current on accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and industry reporting practices affecting the Bank and recommend process improvements as needed.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Ā
- Minimum five (5) years of progressive accounting, financial reporting, or finance experience
- Experience preparing or supporting regulatory reporting and financial statement reporting within a financial institution preferred
- Experience supporting external audits and regulatory examinations preferred
- Prior financial institution experience strongly preferred
- Public accounting experience, particularly audit or assurance services for financial institutions, is highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience analyzing financial information and preparing reports for executive leadership and governing bodies

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS & TRAINING:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred
- Ongoing professional development related to accounting standards, banking regulations, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance encouraged
- Relevant banking, accounting, or financial reporting training preferred

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy

- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools
- Experience with financial reporting, accounting, and general ledger systems
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively present financial information to senior management and executive stakeholders
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments
- Strong understanding of internal controls, risk management, and compliance expectations within a regulated financial institution
