Description

Due to Advanced Industries continued growth, we are adding a team member to our dynamic HR department!  We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist responsible for the recruitment, onboarding, payroll processing, employee record retention, benefits administration, training coordination, and employee engagement of Advanced Industries. 


This position is also responsible for maintaining accurate employee data within the Paylocity HRIS, while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable federal and state employment laws.


The HR Generalist serves as a primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR processes and provides exceptional customer service while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.


Key functions include:

  • Supporting all phases of the recruitment process, including creating job postings in Paylocity system, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates and hiring staff.
  • Coordinating the onboarding process through Paylocity and conducting new hire onboarding sessions to ensure employees gain an understanding of the company, forms, policies/procedures, and benefit information.
  • Processing bi-weekly payroll through Paylocity.
  • Effectively communicating federal, state, regulatory, and company policy updates to managers and employees while guiding HR policies and procedures.
  • Coordinating employee performance reviews through Paylocity in accordance with company policy.
  • Assisting with benefits enrollment, new hire eligibility, annual open enrollment, and benefit communications.
  • Partnering with the Safety Manager and Quality department for employee training assignments and maintaining HR training records within Paylocity’s LMS.
  • Supporting the HR Director by generating requested reports and analytics using Paylocity’s reporting tools.
  • Processing and managing compliance reporting, unemployment claims, workers' compensation documentation, employment verifications, and government reporting.
  • Responding promptly and professionally to manager and employee questions regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, payroll, and HRIS navigation.
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality of employee information and sensitive company records.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience; SHRM certification preferred.
  • Three to five years of Human Resources experience required; experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Previous Paylocity or similar HRIS experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • High level of discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to quickly learn and effectively utilize HR technology platforms.
  • Ability to work independently as well as a key contributor of a collaborative HR team.
