About the role.
The North America Freight & Logistics Procurement Manager is responsible for sourcing and managing a portion of McCain’s $340M North American freight, storage, and logistics spend. This role partners closely with Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance stakeholders to develop and execute category strategies, lead sourcing initiatives, manage supplier relationships, and deliver reliable, cost-effective logistics solutions across the North American business. In addition to logistics categories, the role may support sourcing initiatives across facilities & real estate, GARP, and business services, helping drive sustainable cost advantages, mitigate risk, and enable operational excellence.

What you’ll be doing.
- Develop and execute cost and value-driven category strategies for freight, storage, and logistics spend areas.
- Lead sourcing events including RFx processes, supplier evaluations, and contract negotiations.
- Build and manage strategic supplier relationships to deliver innovation, cost savings, and service improvements.
- Monitor supplier performance through defined KPIs to ensure consistent delivery and service levels.
- Support the Sustainable Cost Advantage Program through strategic sourcing and value creation initiatives.
- Conduct supplier research and market analysis to identify opportunities, risks, and emerging logistics trends.
- Analyze and recommend sourcing solutions and supplier award decisions that align with operational requirements and business priorities.
- Manage category financial planning, budgeting, and purchase price variance (PPV) performance.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with internal controls, policies, and ethical sourcing standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations teams to support cost savings, sustainability, cash improvement, and supply assurance initiatives.

What you’ll need to be successful.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 7-10 years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience in procurement and strategic sourcing.
- Freight and logistics procurement experience.
- Supply chain operations experience.
- Project management experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with SAP, Coupa, Ariba, Transportation Management Systems (TMS), or freight procurement software.
- Experience in the food or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry preferred.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, financial, and stakeholder management skills.

The North American Procurement team partners closely with Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance to deliver strategic sourcing solutions that support McCain’s operational excellence and growth objectives. The team focuses on building strong supplier partnerships, driving sustainable cost advantages, and enabling resilient supply chains that support McCain’s commitment to delivering high-quality products across North America. This is a hybrid role based in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois.

Compensation Package:Â $97,500.00 - $130,000.00 . USD annually + Bonus eligibility
