Job DetailsJob Location: Oak Park, MI 48237QualificationsSummary of Responsibilities: The Driver Coordinator plays a vital role in the efficient and effective operation of Mobile Community Choice Market (MCCM). This position is responsible for the safe transportation of the unit, food and supplies, on-site setup and distribution, client interaction, and ensuring a safe, positive, and dignified experience for individuals and families accessing the MCCM. The ideal candidate will be organized, compassionate, respectful, and possess excellent communication and people skills, candidate will also have clean driving records and CDL A certifications.     Duties/Essential Functions:   Represents Forgotten Harvest Food in a professional, positive, and efficient manner to increase our distribution abilities, enhance donor relationships and improve partner agency satisfaction. Safely and efficiently transport MCCM unit in Detroit and surrounding areas. Actively participate and assist with distributions. Inspect and sign off on routes and lots where MCCM will be distributing. Effectively maintains a clean truck and unit and any other equipment (pallet jacks, hand trucks/dollies, etc.) daily. Performs a DOT and Forgotten Harvest required vehicle pre-trip and post trip inspection daily, to ensure vehicle maintenance and safety. Completes required logs/reports pertaining to vehicles and route/delivery information for Feeding America and government compliance. Manage and facilitate trailer cleaning and upkeep. Report on maintenance needs for Client Choice Market Manager Provides oversight into the general safety of the clients, volunteers, and staff at the MCCM. Collaborate with Community Choice Specialist to pull and stock appropriate items for each location. Oversee loading of the MCCM and product placement with Community Choice Specialist Ensure the efficient and equitable distribution of food to the clients in accordance with the program guidelines and applicable laws. Monitor food quality and safety standards, ensuring proper handling and storage. Greeting clients/volunteers with courtesy, respect, and empathy. Assist clients with any shopping needs, including problem-solving and customer relations. Provide information about Forgotten Harvest Resources or programs to clients as needed. Address client/volunteer questions and concerns onsite in a professional and helpful manner. Function as onsite Lead when CCS is not onsite. Adherent to all organizational policies and procedures. Provide clear instructions and guidance to volunteers for efficient operations. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of food safety regulations (FH will provide Serve Safe Certification) Other duties as assigned.   Qualifications: Class A License Basic Microsoft office skills (excel, word, power point, outlook) Desire to collaborate closely with the clients and volunteers of Forgotten Harvest Must have or obtain Serve Safe Certification            Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: Driving and warehouse working conditions and outdoor food distribution year round Ability to lift and carry up to fifty pounds and perform physical tasks associated with Loading, unloading, and setting up. Ability to use Forgotten Harvest Equipment as needed. Occasional overtime hours as needed.
