Description
As a Warehouse Receiving Attendant, you will be responsible for daily operations of the warehouse.Â
Schedule In this role, you will work day shift, Monday through Friday.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Unload trucks by forklift and pallet jack
- Inspect incoming merchandise for count, specification, quality and quantity; report shortages or damage to the receiving supervisor
- Stock or deliver received items to the appropriate area or department, check and sign for all incoming or outgoing items
- Date and rotate all incoming perishable food items
- Maintain a clean and orderly workstation
- Assemble and deliver warehouse orders
- Help maintain and assist the Receiving System (Stratton Warren)
- Assist in all physical inventories
- Report any safety or OSHA violation to supervisor
Requirements
Performs other job-related duties as requested
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
Education
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent Preferred
Work Experience
- 2+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience Warehouse and/or receiving experience Preferred
Additional Requirements
- Experience working in a similar warehouse setting Preferred
- Certified forklift operator or ability to obtain certification Preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to operate a forklift (standard and automatic)
- Ability to use an electric pallet jack, manual pallet jack, and a four wheeled cart
- Basic knowledge of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine
- Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills
- Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
