About the Role

Koopman Lumber is looking for a friendly, dependable Part-Time Cashier / Paint Associate to join our team. This role combines customer service, cashier responsibilities, and assisting customers in our Paint Department.

What You’ll Do

• Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service. 
• Process purchases accurately at the register. 
• Assist customers with paint, stain, colors, and related products. 
• Mix and tint paint using computerized equipment. 
• Stock and organize paint products and retail merchandise. 
• Keep the checkout and paint areas clean and organized. 
• Assist with other store responsibilities as needed. 
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements. 

What We’re Looking For

• Friendly, dependable, and customer-focused. 
• Comfortable working with customers and as part of a team. 
• Willing to learn paint products, tinting equipment, and the POS system. 
• Previous retail, cashier, or paint experience is a plus, but not required.

Requirements

Physical Demands

• Stand for long periods (up to 8 hours).
• Regular bending, reaching, climbing, lifting, and squatting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

What to Expect

ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Working both indoors in controlled temperature, and occasionally outdoors in varying elements.
