Job Description

The Future Talent Program features internships that last up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Research Lab Division can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals.

The Process & Quality Management Team within Global Data Management & Standards is looking for talented and motivated students for Summer internships. Selected individuals will support strategic and operational projects related to process and quality in clinical data management. Working alongside experienced members of the team, the successful candidate will assist with special projects, analyze and evaluate processes, and propose innovative solutions.

Clinical Data Management is the practice of defining, designing, implementing, investigating, cleaning end ensuring that data collected in support of the needs of a clinical research trial satisfies the analysis and reporting requirements necessary to satisfy (regulatory requirements) of the planned Clinical Study Report.

As part of the Global Data Management and Standards organization, the PQM intern position will expose the student to a deep dive into the discipline of Data Management with a focus on quality and process as well as offer exposure to various other disciplines in the practice of Clinical Development.

Primary activities include, but are not limited to:

â–ª Process improvement initiatives

â–ª Application of Health Authority regulations to practice and process

â–ª Health Authority Inspection readiness and preparation

Required Education:

  • Candidates must be currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate degree program, in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics) or similar major.

  • Candidates must have completed at least two (2) full years of an undergraduate degree prior to the start of this position.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Must be able to work full-time for up to twelve (12) weeks beginning in May or June.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong document management and organizational skills. Must have initiative, leadership, and ownership of deliverables.

  • Must be a self-started, fast learner, and able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team

  • environment.

  • Able to manage and independently drive projects to completion.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Candidates should have a demonstrated record of strong academic achievement, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

  • Self-motivated, excellent in work planning and time management.

  • Fluent oral and written English skills.

  • Able to work under pressure and in a changing environment with flexibility.

  • Good communication skills, and able to communicate with both technical and business areas.

  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
