Clerk - Centralized Scheduling

• Schedules outpatient diagnostic exams over the phone with physician offices and with patients.
• Responsible for indexing incoming orders and transferring faxes to other departments as necessary.
• Responsible for insuring supporting documentation, ICD-10 codes are received to support Medical Necessity for scheduled procedure.
• Management of add on or STAT procedures.
• Provides CPT codes to physician offices to assist with obtaining prior authorization.

Education

• High school education or equivalent.
• College degree preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Experience

• One to two years in a medical office or business office.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology required. Working knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes.

(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)

Compensation/Benefits

• $15.45-$25.24/hr depending on previous work experience.
