• Job Title: Automation Technician
• Type of Contract: Long-term At-Will
• Expected Hiring Date: August 2026

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, robotic, and automation systems to ensure maximum equipment uptime.
• Coordinate technical activities related to PLC hardware, software, ladder logic, and automation interfaces.
• Develop, modify, and optimize automation programs to improve operational performance and repeatability.
• Provide technical leadership and support to maintenance technicians in troubleshooting and repair activities.
• Train maintenance and operational personnel on automation systems, robotics, and PLC equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of PLC software revisions, robotic programs, documentation, and electrical schematics.
• Lead automation-related continuous improvement initiatives and equipment upgrades.
• Coordinate modifications and installation of new automation and robotic systems in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Evaluate emerging automation technologies and recommend solutions that improve productivity, reliability, and efficiency.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, Electrical Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Experience working with Allen-Bradley PLC platforms, including PLC-500 and ControlLogix systems.
• Experience with HMI software such as RSLogix, Wonderware, and PanelView.
• Experience supporting industrial robotic systems, preferably Fanuc, ABB, and/or KUKA.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and electronic schematics.
• Experience with Siemens S5 and S7 PLC systems preferred.
• Knowledge of industrial communication networks including ControlNet, Modbus, and Profibus.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills.
• Strong PC proficiency and technical documentation skills.
• English proficiency sufficient to communicate effectively in a manufacturing environment.
