Armed Security Guard- Transit Division

Sentry Force Security is seeking professional and dependable Armed Security Officers to join our Transit Division. Officers will provide security services at assigned transit facilities and locations throughout the service area.

Position Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, passengers, and visitors.
• Conduct security patrols of assigned areas.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and designated areas.
• Respond appropriately to incidents, alarms, and security concerns.
• Enforce site security procedures and company policies.
• Prepare accurate and detailed incident and daily activity reports.
• Maintain a professional and visible security presence.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, transit personnel, law enforcement, and the public.
• Perform other security-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid Virginia DCJS Armed Security Officer registration/license required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior security, military, law enforcement, or related experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must successfully complete required background screening and pre-employment requirements.
• Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
• Ability to remain alert and respond appropriately in a fast-paced public environment.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
