Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations through the installation, repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of production equipment, piping systems, tanks, and facility infrastructure. This role performs a wide range of industrial maintenance duties including mechanical repairs, welding, fabrication, preventative maintenance, and general facility upkeep while ensuring compliance with safety standards and company procedures.

Essential Duties of Position:

  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing and process equipment 
  • Assist with installation, modification, and relocation of production equipment and facility systems 
  • Perform welding, pipe fitting, fabrication, and mechanical repair work as needed 
  • Clean, inspect, and maintain tanks and process equipment, including confined space entry when required 
  • Support preventative maintenance activities to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability 
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, hoists, rigging equipment, forklifts, and other maintenance-related equipment 
  • Assist with hoisting, rigging, and movement of heavy equipment and machinery 
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and assist in identifying root causes of equipment failures 
  • Maintain facility appearance and functionality through general building and grounds maintenance activities 
  • Follow all safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, PPE requirements, and safe work practices 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in maintenance shops and production areas 
  • Communicate maintenance concerns, equipment issues, and improvement opportunities to leadership 
  • Recommend process, equipment, and safety improvements that support operational efficiency and reliability 
  • Support emergency repairs and operational needs as necessary

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills 
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment 
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, safety procedures, and maintenance documentation 
  • Strong attention to safety and detail 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Good communication and organizational skills 
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work in industrial environments, including lifting, climbing, bending, and working in confined spaces

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required 
  • Previous industrial maintenance, mechanical, manufacturing, construction, or related experience preferred 
  • Welding and fabrication experience preferred 
  • Experience with pumps, piping, valves, tanks, or process equipment is a plus 
  • Forklift experience preferred 
  • Confined Space certification required within one (1) year of employment 
  • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) training required within one (1) year of employment
