Summary:Â The Facilities Support Associate is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, safety, and general upkeep of company facilities and grounds. This position performs janitorial services, sanitation, waste and recycling management, groundskeeping, and general facility support activities. The Facilities Support Associate helps ensure all interior and exterior areas remain clean, organized, safe, and professional for employees, customers, and visitors.
Essential Duties of Position:
- Clean and mop facility floors, offices, common areas, warehouse areas, and production support spaces.
- Operate floor scrubbers and other janitorial equipment to maintain facility cleanliness.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, locker rooms, and other employee areas.
- Empty trash receptacles throughout the facility and ensure waste is properly disposed of.
- Operate cardboard balers and other waste-handling equipment safely and effectively.
- Consolidate waste and recycling materials and transport them to designated dumpsters.
- Maintain inventories of janitorial, cleaning, and facility supplies and notify management when replenishment is needed.
- Assist with snow removal, salting, lawn care, landscaping, and other grounds maintenance activities.
- Support contractors performing facility and grounds maintenance activities such as painting.
- Perform basic building upkeep, including painting, light repairs, and general housekeeping tasks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional appearance throughout company facilities and grounds.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental requirements.
- Use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Identify and report unsafe conditions.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards to support workplace safety and operational efficiency.
- Participate in required safety training.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Ability to operate floor scrubbers, cardboard balers, and similar facility support equipment.

Qualifications:
Required
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Preferred
- One (1) year or more of experience in custodial services, facilities maintenance, grounds maintenance, warehouse operations, or a related field.
- Experience operating floor scrubbers, cardboard balers, and other janitorial or material handling equipment.
- Experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, or industrial environment.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb stairs.
- Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment.
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
- Safely operate facility support and material handling equipment.
