HR Manager

Location: Newnan, GA Job Type: Full-Time - Onsite Reports To: Controller Salary: Dependent on Experience


About the Position

We are seeking an experienced and people-focused HR Manager to oversee and manage the day-to-day human resources functions of our organization. The HR Manager will serve as a trusted resource for employees and management while helping ensure that our company maintains a positive, productive, and professional workplace.

This position will be responsible for employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, policies and procedures, and other HR-related functions. The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, knowledgeable about employment practices, and able to balance the needs of employees with the goals of the organization.


Key Responsibilities

· Manage the day-to-day HR operations and provide guidance to employees and managers.

· Lead the recruiting and hiring process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, background checks, and hiring recommendations.

· Develop and manage effective employee onboarding and orientation programs.

· Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel records.

· Administer employee benefits, including enrollment, changes, and employee questions.

· Manage employee relations issues and assist with conflict resolution and disciplinary matters.

· Support managers with performance evaluations, coaching, corrective action, and employee development.

· Develop, implement, and maintain company policies and procedures.

· Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

· Maintain required HR documentation, records, and reports.

· Partner with management on workforce planning, staffing needs, and organizational development.

· Monitor employee attendance, leave, and other employment-related matters.

· Assist with payroll-related HR information and employee questions as needed.

· Coordinate employee training and professional development programs.

· Help promote a positive company culture and employee engagement.

· Stay current on changes in employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.

· Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

· Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

· HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR is preferred.

· 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, with management-level experience preferred.

· Willingness to travel to other locations quarterly.

· Strong knowledge of employment practices, employee relations, recruiting, and HR administration.

· Experience with HRIS, payroll, benefits, and other HR systems.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

· Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

· Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.

· Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

· Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with management and employees.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard HR technology.
