Field Service Coordinator – Power Systems 
 
Newington, CT

Pay: $60,000-$75,000/year
Bonus Potential: 10%

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience coordinating labor schedules, dispatching field service personnel, or managing service operations required
  • Prior experience in a technical service environment highly preferred, including mechanical, electrical, diesel, power generation, or related industries
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize, schedule, and coordinate multiple service activities simultaneously
  • Proficiency with computer systems, service management software, and Microsoft Office applications; ability to quickly learn new technologies and business systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer service focus
  • Clean and valid driver's license required 
  • Ability to participate in an off-hours on-call rotation (phone support only), including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

Successfully coordinate service calls to provide field service of recognized superior value 

  • Effectively communicate with all stakeholders on work to be performed, changes required in scope of work, job status, etc.
  • Coordinate and manage work schedule for internal and external work, including timely completion of CSAs
  • Maximize technician utilization by effectively scheduling, planning, and assigning work
  • Coordinate resources required for technicians, including parts and tooling

Perform and assist EPG Service Manager with service processes

  • Efficiently invoice jobs on a daily basis utilizing customer invoice reporting system as required
  • Assist EPG Service Manager in overseeing technician performance on jobs to ensure effective, efficient completion in a profitable and safe manner
  • Ensure work orders are promptly opened and that labor, parts, and related charges are recorded on the proper segments
  • Review completed work orders for accuracy and proper warranty information in preparation of invoicing

Collaborate with EPG (Electric Power Generation) Service team

  • Manage customer support contracts with respect to customer reporting and invoicing requirements and follow up with CSA (Customer Service Agreement) Coordinator as needed
  • Communicate additional work required from CSA inspections to PSSRs and ISSR
  • Process weekly payroll

Qualifications

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time
  • Hand coordination (typing and writing)
  • Occasional forward bending and reaching
  • Occasional walking and climbing stairs
  • Carrying (up to 20lbs.)
