What You'll Get To Do:

Panasonic North America (PEXNA) Supply Chain organization prides itself on delivering high quality operations across a wide range of supply chain functions. The key to our success is largely dependent on stellar team members who provide project support. We’re currently searching for a project analyst to join our ranks and support highly visible Trade operations and international logistics team. The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind and a proven ability in understanding global logistics management. As a natural born leader and a quick learner, you will have outstanding talent for project coordination, governance, and data analytics. Ultimately, you are motivated by the desire to deliver results and nurture operational success for all customers.

This role reports to the supervisor of Trade Operations and is responsible for all logistics related operations and carrier performance management. This high performing individual will be tasked to deliver operational excellence, strategy execution, and customer delight across business units. This role will support operations portfolio projects in Supply Chain team providing an outstanding opportunity to be part of a highly visible team. This individual will assist in building a best-in-class customer focused operations through utilization of a lean management philosophy and driven by data-based decisions through KPI management, voice of customer and continuous improvement.

Objective of the role:

  • Support end to end trade operations across all modes of shipping and warehouse receiving
  • Build strategic partnerships with carriers and customers across a large global teams.
  • Support and execute data driven decision making
  • Cross functionally collaborate to identify and execute continuous improvements through Lean methodology

Global trade and logistics operations management

  • Support end-to-end shipment management from booking to final delivery. 
  • Lead daily operations stand ups meetings
  • Ability to create stellar presentations and support leadership updates
  • Facilitate communication across logistics related parties and drive collaboration.
  • Work with the Business units and track and trace team
    • Lead root cause analysis
    • Establish corrective action plans
  • Address shipment delays during shipment journey
  • Support month end and year end activities
  • Drive actions and results from complex datasets

Drive logistics strategy

  • Support data analytics and perform ad hoc reporting needs
  • Create KPI and reporting requirements for trade operations and logistics governance
  • Build project plan and drive initiatives to completion
  • Build Power BI dashboard for operations governance
  • Build process engineering documents including value stream maps, process maps and RACIs
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly operations KPI performance and report status
  • Automate manual processes through industry leading automation tools and techniques

Invoicing and rate management

  • Develop process to control rate management from Global Freight Network (GFN) team
  • Support leadership escalations to drive effective operations
  • Receive and process all necessary rate requests
  • Validate rates in the systems
  • Work with GFN to ensure correct rates are supplied
  • Work with business units to estimate correct ocean and air space allocation
  • Review all disputes with carriers to allow freight payment to process invoices timely
  • Participate in the growth of team culture

Qualifications

What You'll Bring:

Education & Experience:

  • BA/BS in Industrial, Supply Chain Logistics, or Engineering 
  • 2+ years of experience in Logistics and Operations teams
  • Understanding on Gartner’s Magic Quadrant industry leading solutions
  • Lean Continuous Improvement Experience required. Certification a plus
  • PMP, ASCM Certifications a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel or other tools for complex data analysis.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as SQL, Tableau or Power BI is a plus
  • Proven track record of process and data automation using tools like power automate, Alteryx, blue prism, RPA software

The wage range of $80,000 - $90,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives.
