Responsibilities:
- Prepare shop drawings using computer aided design (CADD) software to produce detailed 2d/3d drawings, floor plans, elevations, and cross-sections
- Work from rough sketches or specifications created by engineers and architects to understand project requirements
- Add detail to architectural and mechanical plans for proper installation.
- Specify dimensions, materials, and procedures for new products
- Ensure all drawings meet industry standards, building codes, and project specific guidelines
- Work closely with president and project managers for accurate drawings.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in drafting, architecture, engineering or a related field
- 3-5 years of demonstrable experience as a Drafter
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) and the ability to produce high-quality drawings
- Strong attention to detail and precision in drafting, ensuring that all dimensions and specifications are accurate
- Familiarity with construction and manufacturing processes with an understanding of design standards
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to find practical solutions to design challenges
- Additional certification from the American Design Drafting Association (ADDA) is a plus
$80,000 - $90,000Â Annually
