Feline Only vet practice looking for enthusiastic cat lover to join our team. Seeking a Part Time/Full Time Licensed Veterinary Technician that has a positive attitude and strong communication skills and enjoy working with people and their cats. Must be reliable and honest. Experience in the veterinary field required.
QualificationsÂ
- Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant. Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred – or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements.
- Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required.Â
- Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.Â
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Â
- Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred – or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements.Â
- Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required.Â
ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures.Â
- Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.Â
- Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.Â
- Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
- Providing general nursing care
- Examining cats and checking vitals in preparation for the Veterinarian
- Taking X-rays of cats
- Administering first aid for emergencies
- Administering medication and treatments
- Monitoring cats under anesthesia
- Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures.Â
- Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.Â
- Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.Â
- Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment

Must have:
