The Opportunity: 


The Fine Arts Enrichment Instructor is responsible for planning and leading creative, skills-based activities in one or more specialized disciplines, including Visual Arts, Filmmaking, Cosmetology, Anime, and Cartoons & Comics. The instructor will cultivate a supportive and engaging environment where students explore artistic expression, develop technical skills, and build confidence through hands-on learning and project-based activities.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 


  • Supervise and ensure the safety, well-being, and engagement of up to 15 students during after-school programming.

  • Plan and facilitate engaging lessons and enrichment activities, adapting instruction to meet diverse learning needs and interests.

  • Establish learning objectives, monitor student progress, and support skill development through project-based activities.

  • Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages participation, collaboration, and character development.

  • Prepare classrooms and materials, maintain attendance records, and assist with daily program setup and cleanup.

  • Implement safety protocols, including emergency procedures and evacuation drills.

  • Evaluate program effectiveness and adjust activities to maximize student engagement and outcomes.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the After-School Program Director.


Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent required; certifications or credentials in relevant fine arts disciplines are preferred.

  • Availability to work late afternoons and/or evenings (typically 4:00–6:00 p.m., with program hours between 3:00–6:30 p.m.).

  • Experience in one or more fine arts disciplines (e.g., visual arts, film, beauty, illustration) and prior experience working with youth in a classroom, enrichment, or after-school setting preferred.

  • Strong communication, classroom management, and group facilitation skills, with the ability to adapt instruction for diverse learners and follow program schedules.

  • Passion for arts education and youth development; candidates qualified to lead instruction in multiple activities are preferred. Must successfully complete required background checks and clearances.


Salary: 


  • $25 - $35 per hour
