Location: The Learning Experience – Columbus Circle, New York, NY
Pay: $18–$20 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

The Learning Experience – Columbus Circle is growing! We're opening a new Toddler classroom and are looking for a caring and energetic Toddler Assistant Teacher to join the teaching team.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a classroom from the very beginning, helping create a warm, engaging environment where toddlers can explore, build independence, develop language, and form their first friendships.
What You'll Do
- Partner with the Lead Teacher to create a nurturing and engaging Toddler classroom
- Support daily learning activities, play, art, music, sensory experiences, and outdoor time
- Encourage language, social-emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Assist with meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, and classroom transitions
- Provide attentive supervision and positive guidance
- Help establish consistent routines as our new classroom grows
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming learning environment
- Build positive relationships with children and families
- Follow applicable New York City childcare requirements
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous experience working with children preferred
- Toddler, daycare, preschool, or childcare experience is a plus
- Patient, dependable, nurturing, and energetic
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Must meet applicable New York City childcare requirements
