Housekeeper - Hargrave

Project FIND’s mission is to provide low- and moderate-income and homeless seniors with the services and support they need to enrich their lives and live independently. Today Project FIND operates three supportive housing residences that are home to about 600 people and four senior centers with over 3,000 members. Our members and residents range from the healthy and active to the frail and homebound to the homeless. Job Summary:

The Housekeeper will work at the Hargrave House location and will perform tasks to maintain general cleanliness and sanitation of tenant rooms, and assist the property management and maintenance teams in turning over units for re-rental.

General Responsibilities:

• Sweeps and mops tenants rooms and
• Washes sinks and toilets with brush and
• Light dusting.

Property Maintenance Responsibilities:

• Assist maintenance staff with cleaning of common areas, when needed.
• Assists the maintenance team with cleaning and turnover of vacant apartments for prospective tenants.
• Assists with heavy-duty cleaning tasks, including but not limited to removal of clutter, debris, and refuse.

Administrative Responsibilities:

• Participate in bi-weekly social work and property management meetings.
• Maintain an appointment system for apartment cleaning.
• Document and report maintenance issues within apartments such as leaks, vermin, or safety issues to Property Management for resolution.

Qualifications:

• Must have knowledge of cleaning procedures and cleaning
• Must be able to lift 20-30
• High school diploma or GED certificate required.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm 

Project FIND participates in E-Verify, which confirms employment authorization through an electronic database maintained by the Social Security Administration and Department of Homeland Security. The E-Verify process is completed in conjunction with the Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification.  E-Verify is not used as a tool to pre-screen candidates.
