About the Role

LoveShackFancy is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to support financial planning, reporting, and business analysis across the organization. This role sits at the intersection of finance and operations, providing the CFO/COO with timely, accurate data and insights to guide strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with large datasets, building financial models, and translating numbers into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership.

 

You will be working across the company’s operating divisions of retail stores, e-commerce, and wholesale on both the revenue and expense side.

 

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets and forecasts
  • Support variance analysis (actuals vs. budget/forecast) and prepare commentary on key drivers
  • Help build and maintain financial models for revenue, expenses, headcount, and cash flow
  • Assist with ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and business decisions

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Compile, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources (ERP, POS, e-commerce platforms, retail partners)
  • Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reports (sales performance, channel profitability, KPIs)
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities within sales, margin, and operational data
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (merchandising, retail, e-commerce, operations) to gather and validate data

Business Support

  • Support the CFO/COO with materials for leadership meetings, business decks, and reporting
  • Assist with month-end close processes as they relate to reporting and reconciliations
  • Track and analyze key business metrics across wholesale, DTC, and retail channels
  • Help maintain and improve financial reporting templates, models, and processes for accuracy and efficiency



Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, data analysis, or a related role (retail/apparel/consumer goods experience a plus)
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (financial modeling, pivot tables, complex formulas)
  • Experience with BI/reporting tools
  • Familiarity with ERP and accounting systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, concise summaries for non-financial stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills and comfort presenting to senior leadership
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • High degree of discretion when handling confidential financial information
