POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs reservoir engineering analysis in support of corporate reserves reporting, acquisition and divestiture evaluations, non-operated elections, and asset development planning across DEC's multi-basin portfolio.
  • Works within a multi-disciplinary team and develops proficiency in decline curve analysis, petroleum economics, and SEC reserves classification under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Work with multi-disciplinary team including reservoir engineering, geology, accounting, and operations to prepare SEC style reserve reports.
  • Work with team to prepare acquisition evaluations for a variety of plays.
  • Plays could include conventional horizons, unconventional shales, coal bed methane, etc.
  • Provide reservoir engineering support for a variety of financial functions.
  • Work with field operations providing production surveillance assistance.
  • Assist land group in divestiture evaluations.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Petroleum Engineering)
  • 0-5 years of reservoir and/or operations engineering experience.
  • Proficiency with ARIES, Excel, Access, SQL databases, and PowerPoint; experience with Geographix and Power BI a plus.
  • Independently comfortable working with others in a multi-discipline team environment.
  • Strong communication, presentation, writing, and organization skills are required.
  • Strong understanding of SEC reserves classification and evaluation
  • Acquisition and divestiture experience
  • Strong computer skills with an excellent understanding of MS Access and Excel and a mastery of Windows ARIES.

Office Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: 

  • Prolonged periods working at a desk in front of a computer.
