The Hotel Laundry Processor processes and monitors quality of sorted, dirty linens during washing and drying cycles.Â
Responsibilities
- Ensure standards and job assignments are met in the absence of the manager or a supervisor
- Maintain par levels on all inventory items; advise supervisor or lead of any shortages
- Separate and wash linen, sheets, pillow cases, face/bath towels, mop heads, cleaning towels and other laundry items for hotel and/or other departments as needed
- Clean and maintain work area to department and safety standards
- Keep all washers and dryers loaded during production hours with needed linen items to complete refilling exchange carts for next business day or for other departments as needed
- Change laundry chemicals as needed
- Set and monitor proper temperature on all machines for washing and drying
- Keep all dryer lint traps clean; clean out floor drains
- Keep laundry chutes free of linen; clear chutes at end of day.
- Put stained linens into soak cycle’s at the end of the shift each day as needed.
- Maintain loss control sheets for damaged items or stained items
- Report maintenance issues to immediate supervisor; monitor performance of laundry machines
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old or over
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must have a pleasant, poised personality.
- Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
- Must present a well-groomed appearance. Â
