Job Description
- Provide professional, attentive, and personalized food and beverage service during banquet events and catered functions Â
- Set up, maintain, and break down banquet event spaces according to event orders, banquet standards, and operational requirements Â
- Serve plated meals, buffets, passed hors d’oeuvres, beverages, and wine service in accordance with hotel service standards Â
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet rooms, service stations, and dining areas throughout events Â
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and concerns Â
- Collaborate with Banquet Captains, Culinary teams, Bartenders, and fellow team members to ensure smooth event execution Â
- Monitor tables and service areas to maintain proper presentation and guest satisfaction throughout service Â
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures Â
- Assist with transporting banquet equipment, trays, linens, dishware, and supplies as operationally needed Â
- Support weddings, VIP events, conferences, galas, and high-volume banquet operations as assigned Â
- Maintain professional appearance and demeanor consistent with luxury hospitality standards Â
- Uphold hotel policies, service standards, and operational procedures at all times Â
Qualifications
- Previous banquet, restaurant, catering, or hospitality service experience preferred Â
- Luxury hotel or upscale dining experience preferred Â
- Excellent guest service and interpersonal communication skills Â
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume event environment Â
- Strong teamwork, multitasking, and organizational abilities Â
- Ability to maintain professionalism and composure during busy service periods Â
- Professional appearance and demeanor required Â
- Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts as operationally required Â
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Â
- Must possess or be able to obtain any required Louisiana food safety certifications in accordance with local and state regulations Â
- Must meet Louisiana legal requirements for alcohol service if assigned to serve alcoholic beverages Â
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Louisiana Responsible Vendor (RV) Server Permit if assigned alcohol service duties Â
