Description
A truck dispatcher is responsible for scheduling truck drivers, assigning delivery routes, monitoring driver progress and ensuring timely deliveries. The dispatcher is the link between the company, drivers and customer to facilitate efficient transportation services.
This position will require that you be on-call during the weekdays, and every other weekend you will work remote. The pay is an hourly rate ($18-22 based on experience), and on call will be $75 (Mon-Thurs) and $125 (Fri-Sun). The hours during the week are 8a-5p.Â
Skills and Qualifications:
• Communicating with customers regarding trucking needs via phone or email.
• Keep record of driver's daily hours and stay in compliance with DOT regulations.Â
• Has good organization skills.
• Prioritizes jobs that are time sensitive.Â
• Input data accurately into Excel spreadsheets.
• Make sure the driver's ticket have accurate information for billing purposes.
• Maintain a clean and tidy environment.
• You can handle a fast- paced environmentÂ

Requirements
The truck dispatcher must have a high school diploma, excellent communication skills, proficiency with computer software like transportation management systems and ideally some experience with dispatching trucks but will train the right candidate.Â
