Job DetailsJob Location: NEW HARTFORD, NY 13413Salary Range: $17.00 - $19.00 HourlyJob Shift: AnyMAIN FUNCTIONS: Preswick Glen is seeking an experienced and compassionate bus driver to transport our residents to various locations. REPORTS TO:           Executive Director   DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Transporting residents to activities such as doctor appointments, local stores, special outings and various other locations. Driving safely and following all rules and regulations of federal and state law. Maintaining the presentation inside and outside of the bus and minivan. Keeping it in show ready condition. Ensure resident safety getting in and out of the vehicles and to their destination. Being able to adapt to situations on the go and maintain a professional composure. Being able to work for special trip events that may involve working occasional night shift and weekend shifts. Scheduling vehicle inspections, regular maintenance, and ensuring registrations are current for bus and minivan. With the help of receptionists, maintain schedule of resident transportation to medical appointments. Assist with other events and activities as assigned.   CONTACTS:  Daily with residents, coworkers, prospective residents, and the public at large. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  Must be able to drive a bus for long periods of the day, must be able to work in all type of weather elements. WORKING CONDITIONS:  Must enjoy driving and having patience with residents, knowledge of locations in the local area is a great benefit. Must be able to drive on the road in different type of elements SAFETY: Shall follow safe work practices in accordance with facility health and safety policies and procedures. Following all federal and state laws when transporting residents when driving. QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS: Must have valid driver license, previous bus driving experience preferred. Must be able to work a flexible schedule for when special events occur. Maintaining a friendly demeanor and a positive attitude.   EDUCATION High School Diploma is required.
