JOB SUMMARY

The Aquatic Rehab Center Receptionist is responsible for providing customer service and administrative support to members and staff of the Aquatic Rehabilitation Center. under the direction of the Fitness and Membership Coordinator under the direction of the Fitness and Membership Coordinator, the individual facilitates the efficient daily operations of front desk activities and membership services and supports operations of the fitness center and pool area.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Job requires frequent sitting at a desk, using phone, reaching and bending below and above the shoulders, forward reaching and twisting to access file drawers and shelves for documents and binders.
  • Job involves standing and walking, fine and gross manipulation related to these activities.
  • Job may occasionally require pushing, pulling, carrying and/or lifting up to 20 pounds.
  • Requires the ability to handle fitness center weights and equipment.
  • Fine manipulation is required as related to writing, typing and computer usage.

COGNITIVE DEMANDS

  • Job requires the frequent ability to multi-task, to follow instructions, to have strong written and verbal communication skills and to have the ability to problem solve issues in a timely manner.
  • Job requires flexibility of thought, reasoning, organizational skills, and the ability to act in some new or unfamiliar situations.
  • Selective attention and concentration are necessary to complete tasks.
  • Job requires the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide tens and hundreds by two, three, four and five.
  • Perform basic arithmetic operations with coins and bills in the role of cashier and handling petty cash, checks, and credit cards.

  • This position requires working under a variety of conditions inside that include moderate noise and frequent interruptions.
  • The ability to work independently as well as with others is essential.
  • This position requires a large amount of flexibility and problem solving.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Facilitates the efficient daily operations of front desk activities and membership services, including assisting members and guests.
  • Answers telephone calls, requests for information, conducts tours and directs communications in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Maintains membership files and forms, in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Assures financial accuracy and accounting of all membership and program activity through Twin Oaks Software applications.
  • Performs nightly closeout procedures through Twin Oaks.
