Position Title:Â Operations Supervisor
Pay Range: $85,000-$100,000
***This position is in Onsite, not hybrid, not remote***
What You’ll Do
Supervisors provide leadership and work direction to their assigned work teams. Supervisors lead and direct their team members to optimize our company’s operational and financial objectives within the framework of our Operational Excellence System (OES). Supervisors create an organized and respectful workplace, and will resolve employee or work flow issues through open and honest communication with team members. This position reports into the Manufacturing Manager.Â
- Lead and manage assigned work teams in alignment with the company’s True North (Vision, Mission, and Core Values)Â
- Foster a shop-floor culture focused on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC)
- Ensure compliance with the Quality Policy, Quality System Manual, operating procedures, work instructions, and all HSE and company policiesÂ
- Maintain a safe, secure work environment by implementing HSE strategies and actively promoting safety audits, reporting, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiativesÂ
- Hold team members accountable through performance reviews, ongoing feedback, coaching, development, and corrective action as neededÂ
- Secure and allocate resources to enable teams to meet operational, safety, quality, and performance objectivesÂ
- Manage day-to-day operations to ensure workflow is efficient, on time, and compliant with quality standards, collaborating cross-functionally as neededÂ
- Plan, implement, and maintain effective work systems, standard work, procedures, and policies to optimize team and resource performanceÂ
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics including cost, labor utilization, quality, delivery, HSE, and continuous improvement; drive improvement actions with the teamÂ
- Promote and lead the use of OES problem-solving methods, including facilitating OES board meetings and ensuring timely completion of OES cardsÂ
- Communicate clearly, consistently, and respectfully with team members regarding expectations, objectives, metrics, and performanceÂ
- Help employees understand how their work contributes to team and company goalsÂ
- Motivate and engage employees to meet deadlines, work productively, resolve issues, and continuously improve processesÂ
- Encourage employee participation, idea-sharing, and innovation to improve business performanceÂ
- Recognize and acknowledge individual and team accomplishmentsÂ
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management, within the physical requirements of the role
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain or manufacturing required
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, including lead and supervisory roles with shift-level decision-making responsibilityÂ
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse workforce with integrity, professionalism, and ethical behaviorÂ
- Strong experience managing employee relations independently and partnering with HR on escalated issuesÂ
- Demonstrated leadership aligned with OES principles, including initiative on projects and continuous improvement effortsÂ
- Proficiency in shift handovers, team communications, and off-shift escalation protocolsÂ
- Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing tools (e.g., 5S, A3, Root Cause Analysis, Standard Work)Â
- Strong safety mindset with an above-average safety record and commitment to HSE requirementsÂ
- Solid business acumen with the ability to challenge assumptions and constructively debate issuesÂ
- Skilled in analyzing data to identify root causes and drive corrective actionsÂ
- Experience using digital production systems, ERP platforms (e.g., SAP), and safety reporting toolsÂ
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative management styleÂ
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, community-oriented manufacturing environmentÂ
- Consistent track record of high-quality performance and accountability in current and prior rolesÂ
- Thorough understanding of company products, services, and operational expectationsÂ
- High school diploma required; 2-year vocational degree preferredÂ
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and basic computer applications
