You’ll also play an active role in the execution of meetings, ensuring every detail is thoughtfully managed from initial planning through completion. By anticipating needs, delivering service excellence, and creating seamless experiences, you’ll help drive customer loyalty and strengthen long-term partnerships with the hotel. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Proactively solicit, respond to, and develop new group and catering business opportunities to achieve individual and hotel revenue goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, community partners, and key internal and external stakeholders to drive future business and grow account share.
  • Manage the sales process from initial inquiry through contracting and program execution, ensuring client expectations, budgets, and hotel needs are met.
  • Conduct site inspections, sales calls, client entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, and other business development activities to strengthen relationships and generate new opportunities.
  • Utilize creative selling, negotiation, and influencing skills to maximize revenue and close business aligned with market conditions and hotel needs.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the local market, including competitors, economic trends, supply and demand, and opportunities to effectively position the hotel.
  • Collaborate with off-property sales channels, Event Management, Operations, and other hotel departments to ensure coordinated sales efforts and a seamless customer experience.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to upsell and maximize revenue while supporting hotel occupancy and overall business goals.
  • Deliver exceptional service throughout each customer experience, anticipating needs and exceeding expectations to drive satisfaction, loyalty, and repeat business.
  • Communicate timely and effectively with clients, leadership, peers, and hotel partners through email, phone, and in-person interactions.
  • Create and maintain accurate contracts, reports, presentations, and other sales documentation in accordance with hotel and brand standards.
  • Use available sales resources, systems, and tools effectively to support business development, relationship management, and operational success.
  • Identify and resolve client concerns by analyzing information, making sound decisions, and partnering with appropriate hotel teams to deliver effective solutions.

OTHER:

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled mandatory training sessions and meetings is required.
