Heritage Senior Living is looking for an energetic, relationship-driven Community Relations Director to help grow our community, strengthen our presence in the local market, and connect older adults and their families with the senior living services they need. Reporting to the Executive Director and partnering closely with our corporate Business Development, Marketing, and Communications teams, the Community Relations Director plays a key role in driving occupancy and supporting the continued success of the community. What You’ll Do As our Community Relations Director, you’ll take ownership of the sales process while serving as an ambassador for Heritage Senior Living in the community. Sales & Census Growth Drive community census by developing and executing effective sales and marketing strategies. Manage leads from initial inquiry through tour, follow-up, deposit, and move-in. Conduct engaging community tours and confidently ask for the business. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective residents and referral sources. Track calls, leads, appointments, tours, deposits, sales, and other activity in our CRM. Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects and families throughout the decision-making process. Prepare for and help coordinate successful resident move-ins. Community Outreach & Relationship Building Develop strong relationships with healthcare professionals, referral partners, community organizations, and other local professionals. Strengthen existing referral relationships while continuously identifying new opportunities. Educate professionals and community partners about Heritage Senior Living, our services, and what makes our communities special. Represent Heritage at networking opportunities, professional organizations, community events, and other outreach activities. Develop creative strategies to increase referrals and generate qualified leads. Marketing & Community Experience Partner with community leadership and corporate teams to implement effective marketing and sales plans. Plan and coordinate events that increase awareness, generate leads, and strengthen Heritage Senior Living’s reputation in the market. Ensure marketing materials and community presentations are consistent with Heritage branding. Help create an exceptional first impression by preparing tour routes, staging model rooms, and ensuring the community is ready to welcome prospective residents and families. Support outstanding customer service and resident/family satisfaction. Assist with marketing collateral, customer-focused events, and related budget management. Leadership & Accountability Establish, manage, and track sales and outreach goals. Maintain accurate prospect, referral, lead, and sales information in PCC/CRM systems. Monitor census and sales performance and complete required reports. Help educate and coach community team members on customer service, marketing, inquiries, and the sales process. Collaborate with the Executive Director and other leaders to identify opportunities for continued census growth. What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who is outgoing, organized, persistent, and comfortable asking for the sale. The right person knows that successful senior living sales are built on trust, responsiveness, strong relationships, and consistent follow-through. Preferred qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university. 2–5 years of sales and/or marketing experience. Senior living, assisted living, memory care, or healthcare experience is strongly preferred. Strong sales and closing skills with a willingness to ask for the business. Proven networking and relationship-building abilities. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Confident presentation and public-speaking abilities. Ability to organize and manage multiple prospects, priorities, and deadlines. Comfort working with CRM systems and tracking measurable sales activity and results. Valid driver’s license and appropriate automobile insurance as required. Schedule & Travel This is a hands-on, community-facing position that requires flexibility based on the needs of prospective residents, families, referral partners, and the community. The Community Relations Director must be available to work two Saturdays per month, with flexibility in determining which Saturdays are worked. Some evenings, special events, and additional hours may occasionally be necessary. Travel within the local market and between Heritage Senior Living locations may also be required.
