Southwest Healthcare Inland Valley Hospital in Wildomar, California, is a licensed 122-bed facility accredited by the Joint Commission. It is Southwest Riverside County's only designated Trauma Center and a county-designated Paramedic Base Station. The hospital performs more than 4,000 surgeries a year, and has an average of 4,000 Emergency Department visits per month. The hospital features a Bariatric Weight-Loss Surgery Center of Excellence and the region’s only Total Joint Center.

Southwest Healthcare Rancho Springs Hospital in Murrieta, California, is a 120 bed acute-care hospital with the region's only Pediatric Emergency Services team (for children 14 and under) provided by board certified Rady Children’s emergency medicine physicians. Rancho Springs Hospital also provides the area's only OB/Emergency Department program, which gives expectant mothers 24/7 on-site access to OB/GYN physician coverage. The Childbirth Center at Rancho Springs Hospital is the largest in the region and features spacious family-friendly private suites. Rancho's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is operated by Rady Children’s.

Floor Tech
Performs heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors: waxing, stripping, buffing, and burnishing of floors as well as performing housekeeping duties when needed.

POSITION SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Floor Care: Vacuums carpeting, floor stripping, floor waxing, floor re-finishing, floor buffing, floor burnishing, floor scrubbing, sweeps, mops, shampoos, machine scrubs and extracts carpets.
- Responsible for the cleaning, maintenance of floor in offices, corridors, lobbies, common areas, waiting rooms, patient rooms and related areas.
- Vacuums and/or mops liquid spills or overflows.
- Cleans the corridor, lobby and ancillary areas.
- Cleans air conditioning/heating vents and grills as directed.
- Picks up medical waste and regular waste from all areas and transports to the designated holding area and/or compactor.
- Picks up soiled linen from all areas and transports to soiled linen holding area. Delivers clean linen to all areas from clean linen room.
- Cleans areas surrounding the outside perimeter of hospital to include public entrances and walkways.
- Performs duties of Environmental Services Worker – Housekeeper, if required.
- Operates pressure washer, wet/dry vacuum.
- Cleans elevator tracks, kick plates and baseboards.
- Performs responsibilities consistent with hospital safety policies.
- Provides daily preventative equipment maintenance on all equipment used.
- Knows, understands and adheres to system/hospital/department policies and procedures.
- Takes responsibility for workplace safety.
- Follows hazard and injury report procedures.
- Maintains confidentiality/HIPAA.
- Whiling interacting with patients, acknowledges cultural/spiritual diversity.
- Adheres to infection control standards.
- Attends mandatory in-service, staff meetings and pertinent seminars.
- Completes mandatory annual education requirements.
