Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Murray Yard - Murray, UT 84107Position Type: Full- TimeEducation Level: Not SpecifiedJob Shift: DayWork Environment: The SWPPP & Construction Services Superintendent is responsible for coordinating and overseeing daily SWPPP field operations, crews, scheduling, and project needs. This position requires someone who is highly adaptable, willing to learn, and comfortable handling a variety of responsibilities both in the field and administratively. The ideal candidate is a “jack of all trades” who can problem-solve, prioritize changing needs, communicate effectively with employees and customers, and step in wherever necessary to keep projects moving. The Superintendent will work closely with field crews, office administrators, and customers to ensure SWPPP work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Plan, coordinate, and manage daily SWPPP schedules, crews, equipment, and project priorities. Supervise, direct, train, and support SWPPP field employees to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Communicate with onsite superintendents, builders, project managers, customers, and field crews regarding scheduling, project needs, changes, and concerns. Oversee the installation, maintenance, and cleanup of SWPPP and erosion-control measures, including LOD fencing, temporary fencing, storm drain boxes, vacant lots, and other project-site needs. Monitor active projects and adjust crews, equipment, materials, and schedules as priorities or jobsite conditions change. Review and maintain accurate work orders, employee time records, schedules, project documentation, equipment, and inventory. Identify and resolve field issues, using good judgment and problem-solving skills to keep projects moving. Maintain professional communication and customer service when working with employees, contractors, builders, and customers. Use Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, and company systems for scheduling, communication, documentation, and other administrative responsibilities. Assist crews with physical fieldwork when needed and be willing to perform a variety of duties to support daily operations. Coordinate seasonal work, including snow removal, concrete blankets, mowing, weed-eating, and other maintenance needs. Work independently, manage multiple priorities, and take ownership of daily SWPPP operations. Perform additional duties and assist with other departmental needs. Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with builders, superintendents, customers, and contractors; respond to questions or concerns promptly and help ensure project needs are addressed. Qualifications: Valid Driver’s License required- CDL preferred. Experience with equipment- skid steer, mini ex, etc. Previous scheduling, dispatching, crew coordination, or construction scheduling experience preferred. Previous construction, SWPPP, erosion control, excavation, or heavy civil experience preferred. Basic to intermediate computer skills required. Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office programs preferred. Ability to learn new computer programs and company systems. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to coordinate multiple crews, projects, and changing priorities. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate professionally with customers, employees, and project management. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions in a fast-paced field environment. Must be dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently. Must be willing to learn and take on responsibilities outside of normal day-to-day duties. Must be willing and able to work outdoors and assist with physical fieldwork when needed.
