POSITION TITLE:                          Supervisor, Cage Cashier 

DEPARTMENT:                                Finance

GRADE/FLSA STATUS:              S17--Exempt

REPORTS TO:                                  Cashier Operations Manager

SUPERVISES:                                    Cage Cashiers, Senior Cage Cashiers, DR Cage Cashier Supervisors, Countroom Technician

 

JOB SUMMARY: 

Oversee the overall operations of the Cashiering, chip bank, marker bank and main bank areas, including financial accountability and staff performance.

 

JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Endorse the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision and Values   

  • Direct oversight of all Cashier and Main Bank functions including front line, employee window, F&B, Chip Bank, Marker Bank, Main Bank, NRT and other areas associated with the Cashier department

  1. Responsible for all funds entrusted during an assigned shift

  2. Verify transfers and other paperwork completed by cashiers

  3. Provide prompt, courteous service to guests including dispute resolution

  4. Responsible for NRT processing and operations
  5. Understand and comply with all government regulations 
  6. Understand and comply with government Anti-money Laundering regulations. Know when and how to submit a Suspicious Activity Incident Report (SAI).  Know the red flags of suspicious transactions or activities 
  7. Understand what information is needed to complete Currency Transaction Reports (CTR’s), Monetary Instrument Logs (MIL’s) and Multiple Transaction Logs (MTL) and able to enter the customer information needed to complete forms 
  8. Able to process OFAC (Office of Foreign Asset Control) screenings when needed before completing transactions
  9. Ability to create and maintain customer RA (Resort Advantage) accounts and enter transactions into RA Floor Monitor, checking and entering all customer data needed to comply with government regulations 
  10. Identify customers who may be trying to structure transactions or evade or circumvent identification requirements
  11. Support Casino Credit processes including application processing, Credit line approvals, processing credit transactions, oversight of Marker Bank
  12. Process jackpot payouts and verify CTR and W2-G paperwork

  13. Train subordinates, providing each with the knowledge, development, and appropriate direction to perform his/her responsibilities

  14. Exhibit sound decision-making with emphasis on motivating team and maintaining high morale

  15. Provide continuous positive coaching for development of employees and appropriate correction action when necessary

  16. Ensure timely and accurate performance appraisals and accurate work history entries

  17. Exhibit sound decision-making with emphasis on motivating team and maintaining high morale

  18. Participative member of the team by volunteering and being involved in projects, committees, and task forces by providing input and suggestions

  19. Facilitate change efforts within the department and the casino

  20. Communicate effectively and professionally with all property departments

  21. Responsible for, or actively participates in, the initiation of personnel actions including but not limited to interviews, training, candidate selection, terminations, performance reviews, promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions

  22. Proactive with incidents and issues ensuring resolution with employees and guests

  23. Other duties as required to deliver excellent service to internal and external customers

  24. Adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school diploma or GED required

  2. Two years cashier/cash handling experience preferred

  3. Six months to one year experience with Federal Anti-Money Laundering Regulations preferred90 days successful cage cashier experience or 6-month non cage dual-rate supervisory experience required

  4. Six months to one-year supervisory experience required

  5.  

  6. Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:

  7. Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel,  PowerPoint, and Outlook

  8. Basic math skills

  9. Excellent oral and written communication skills

  12. Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  13. Attention to detail

  14. Excellent attendance record in previous positions

  15. Willing to learn and to be adaptable

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

  1. Must be able to lift 50 pounds

  2. Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items

  3. Must be able to stand on feet 3 hours at a time

  4. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues

  5. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English

  6. Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations

  7. Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including computers, fax machine and photo copier

  8. Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibrations, crowds, and air quality including secondhand smoke 
  9. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
