| Job Description | The CPC researches and codes all office, surgical and procedural-based reports/records by assigning accurate CPT codes, current version of ICD-10 (diagnosis codes), HCPCS and modifiers in accordance with CMS coding guidelines and principles in a compliant manner. |
| Working Conditions | Work is performed in an office setting and possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, bodily fluids, and other conditions common to medical practice. Varied activities including walking, bending, reaching, lifting, stooping, and sitting for extended periods of time will occur. Also, occasional stress from multiple responsibilities. Overtime hours may be required as needed. |
